August

I believe these pictures say all that needs to be said, for now.

August was a month of putting one foot in front of the other.

August was my birthday month where I moved into the upper-upper 30"s bracket
loved spending time with friends and family and my sweet twin brother
(I love years we can celebrate together over a meal :)

August was a month--as is this month--of pressing into God.
A month of days where we hunger for the weight of His hand rather than the pressure of life which is soo fleeting.

1 Peter 5:
6Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Under Gods mighty hand cupped over us we are protected by His love for us. The heavier it feels the more He is protecting us out of His deep love for us.

So, in our complete trust in Him...not circumstance,
we take a deep breath
and cast our anxiety - as if we put our worries on a hook and cast
them to the bottom of the darkest sea.

and in due time--just the right perfect moment--God's mighty hand that was on top of us in protection, will turn and lift us up.

10And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
