Just saw July!

--fly right by!!

Did I not just post Junes pics..?
This has been the fastest summer ever!

Loved this month as we were overjoyed to have our sweet niece Holly come for the 4th summer. It is always a joy of playing, laughing, cooking, crafting, shopping, zooing, movie going, pet shopping and bouncing my BIG blue yoga ball dodging all things breakable :)yikes!

This year for the first time we went to the Modern Art Museum..so delightful to share that with her as she was interested in seeing where all the artist were from. We went to the gift shop (just like what her aunt likes to do ;) and she picked out postcards that were pictures of paintings and sculptures we saw.. Her 4th grade teacher would be proud because when we got home she immediately began writing about her thoughts and responses about the art she saw.. She is so cleverly funny!!

Another highlight of the week was my other dear niece popped in for a day...hooray! My sister and husband were vacationing in San Antonio, but got rained out because of Hurricane Alex..rats! But yeh! for us!!
In this picture HollyB and I are coaxing MaddieBoo to come and visit for the week with Holly next summer :) Although, I think we'll have to persuade her mom (my sis)even more so to let her come :)

And the fun continues...
We celebrated about a year of Pjo being at his new job, only to celebrate being laid off from that job this month...just seems like yesterday (this time last year) we were looking for work...ahhhh the bliss of the unknown!
How God had been stirring in our heart for weeks that change was in the midst, but we just didn't think it was down this road...again!!
Yet in the midst of the pain and frustration of how it all ended, we dont wake each day without hope. How our God refines us daily and beckons us to press deeper into Him, and hunger for Him and not what we are -missing- from this world...

How I read today in Desiring God..that in John 4:34
Jesus said, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work."

Oh for my food to be the will of God and the finishing of His work.
As if not to choose this, would be a choice of starvation..

So we are here again today, to clear our heads, to start running again and get back to the basics which even crumbs of the presence of God would make us so unbelievably full..

This pic is of the curious findings I hope to use in future art and so many pennies we have found over the last few days..that head-side up reminds us that indeed..

In God We Trust!!!
