December
Oh December..
Where a year ends and a new year begins...
The last 6 months has been a time of redirecting for sure for us.
Our time in Fort Worth ended and on January 1, 2011 it began in a new location.
Below is an insert of a letter that was sent out to our dear friends and ministry teams we were a part of.
------
How I love the Bible continues to talk about -new things- that old has
gone and New has come. So thankful that God doesn't just get things
tidy in there place and forgets about us. He is always reknewing,
forming, refreshing us into the likeness of His Son.
With that being said, new things are happening with the Jones' :)
As ya'll know, my husband has been out of work since July. We have
earnestly sought and applied for countless jobs with no avail. In the
process God has been stirring our hearts for ministry and pursuing
that whole heartedly. Not sure of the capacity but knew we had to stop
circling the culdesac of -just finding a job- we'd been traveling around and
around in so that we could pursue whatever the Lord would put before
us.
Well, through 2interviews and no peace in saying no, we have accepted
a job at Univ of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton TX (south of waco, north
of Georgetown/Austin) for Phillip to become resident director of a
mens dorm their on campus. We will be living in an apartment within the dorm
and Phillip is to begin on jan3. So funny this has come to fruition in
a matter of days and brings us to a quick move. We will partially move
this weekend and then put our house up for sale or lease. Crazy....let
the games begin!!
Oh how we have mourned leaving our hearts with freinds and our church
we love dearly. But we are certain our journey will only be richer in
obedience to Him.
and that's it in a nut shell.
6 months, 1 call back interview, and we're moving.
We wrestled like crazy with God and what we felt we were losing to say "Yes" to this job. Our home, less living space, and our sweet Kipper was not allowed :(
Yet with what we weighed as our loss were all things that will waste away..we also know that God is greater, sweeter, and more satisfying and we gain much more following Him.
We are His hands and His instruments of grace and reconciliation to make Him known.
This is Kippy on his way to his vacation home in N. San Antonio..we love you little boy :)
